Last year, I discovered the joy of caricature sketching. Okay, so mine didn’t turn out very caricature-ish, so maybe I should just call it sketching. While I really love creating realistic portraits, there’s just something so satisfying about the simplicity of sketching. 🙂
Here’s one of the first ones I did. It took about twenty minutes.

I was trying to go for a more cartoon style, and this one was a bit too realistic. I also wanted to get them done a little quicker. So I made note of the time and tried to get one done in ten minutes.
This one took twelve minutes:

But it was still more realistic than I would like.
I think I finally achieved the style I was going for in this one. This one could have been called finished in ten minutes, but I spent an extra five minutes trying to make it look neater and adding details:

Here’s one I did of Daddy in ten minutes:

He was stirring peanut butter when I took the picture to sketch from, so that explains the sort of tense smile. 😛
A sketch of Tzipi:

Earnest wanted me to do one of him when he was a wee bonnie bairn:

Mommy asked me to do one of Beni. The picture was a little blurry, but this is what I came up with:

Hope you enjoyed seeing my sketches! Leave a comment and let me know which one is your favorite. Or your least favorite 🙂

Wow, you’re so talented! I don’t think I could pick a favorite. 🙂
