About

Hello there! I’m Chalice.

artist // old soul // young at heart // dreamer who is learning to be a doer // musician // probably listening to oldies // daughter // sister // friend // adoptive grandmother (don’t ask) // I’m just trying to be aesthetic here guys

The main thing that you should know about me is that I am a child of God. It’s a bit of a long story, and you can always ask me about if you’re interested, but to make it short, I called on Jesus Christ—begging Him to be my Savior during a very worshipful drum solo—when I was 13, and He instantly responded and turned my life around. It was messy, people. And it was amazing. There was tears. And lots of hugs. And the rest is definitely still happening.

I’m definitely still figuring things out, and it’s been a crazy, continually messy journey so far, but God has given me an absolutely insane amount of grace, and taught me so many beautiful things along the way.

I created this blog at first because I had a lot of thoughts on art, and courage, and lots of tips I wanted to share, and the occasional art dump.

I still have lots of thoughts, but the old blog here has since evolved into something a little more… random (prompting my brothers to occasionally shout “you’re supposed to be writing about ART!!“). But I hope to keep it centered around the themes of Boldness and Beauty, and ultimately, glorifying God in and through those things.

Welcome to da mess.
