Well, hello there. I hope you all are having a good week. This week has felt a little conjumbled, so I apologize if that conjumbledness has spread into this post.
I’ve been wanting to do this tag since I saw it on Maya‘s blog, so when I saw that Mary had tagged me for it I was very… shall I say… happy. Thank you, Mary. 🙂
1. List 10 things that make you happy. (Linking to them, sharing pictures, writing poems about them, telling jokes, etc. are all encouraged but not required.)
2. Tag 10 people who make you happy (and notify them of their tag).
Ten Things That Make Me Happy
1. Beautiful People
Is that redundant? Yeah, I think it is. I’m not sure why people make me happy, but they do.
2. Oldies Music
If you don’t know what I’m talking about listen to Katrina and the Waves “Walking on Sunshine.” It will either make you happy,… or very annoyed. (Or you’ll just think it’s super corny.)
3. Good Books
I feel like I don’t need to say anything else about this.
4. Dancing
Israeli Folk Dancing with friends. Late night practice for a presentation dance. Learning the Timestep. Talking a brother into dancing with you at a wedding. Crazy dance moves while cleaning up the kitchen with your family.
5. Running
I don’t know what it is, but there’s something about pushing your body to it’s limits… Something about running down a dirt road with nothing but your old tennis shoes and a playlist of soaring music. Something about thinking you can’t go any further, but driving yourself to keep going anyway, and realizing you haven’t stopped, and you don’t want to stop, because suddenly you’re flying. ♪Ahhh!♫
*ahem*
Never thought I’d be one to rant about how running makes me happy, but here I am.
6. Language
I’m just going to say it. Language makes me happy. I love learning new English words. (This might be why I enjoy writing Thesaurus Tales so much, haha!) I love learning words/phrases in other languages. Especially love learning song in other languages. And there is something so incredibly satisfying about hearing someone else sing in a language that’s not English. What can I say? It makes me happy.
7. Shabbat
One day of the week,
Kick up your feet,
Take a rest now,
God is so good!
8. Rainy Days
I’m going to go against the typical ENFP grain here. I like the rainy days. I like the grey, overcast days. I like the day that make people say, “Ugh, I’m so ready for spring!” Don’t get me wrong, I like sunny days, too. Sunny days are bright and loud. Rainy days are a deep breath and a moment of being still.
And don’t get me started on thunderstorms. There is something wonderful and terrible about thunderstorms.
9.Yellow Roses
I ain’t a flower person. And I mean I am really not a flower person. But I like roses, and yellow roses make me smile.
10. Family
I couldn’t make a list of happy things without mentioning family. My parents, who have the most wonderful sense of humor. My siblings, who can always make me smile or laugh, even when I’m feeling bad. My Grandma, who showed me how a pig bites corn. And all the friends who’ve pretty much just become family.
Now you might be wondering why Jesus isn’t on this list. Well, I don’t know, but I just feel like Jesus goes so much further than all these things. He goes beyond happiness, in the best way possible. And at the same time, He is the one who makes it possible for me to find joy in these things. Without Him, I would be pretty hopeless. I wouldn’t feel the awe and power of a good thunderstorm. I wouldn’t appreciate the day of rest He gave us. And I wouldn’t be able to see that every person is beautiful because they were created in His image.
Okay. Now for ten bloggers that make me happy.
Pattie MacPatterson
Noah Litle
The Maidens of Green Gables (Y’all count as two. 😉)
Evelyn Kelly
Cassandra Hamm
Eden Anderson
Emma Starr
Kenechi Duatron
J. Dekreel
Wow, that was surprisingly easy. If any of y’all have done this already, You can either do it again, or just not do it, but know that you’re someone who makes me happy. 🙂
See y’all next time. 🙂
Peace out.
Hello Chalice, I hope you can feel the hug i’m giving you right now.

ahhhhh good books…and running…and just yes. YES. 😀 There’s some good stuff there.
(but rainy days…ehhhh….I want to like them but I don’t really? It’s really weird, but lately I’ve noticed rainy days make me feel just…bleh overall. XD)

You like running? That’s awesome! (I feel like running is one of those things that people either love or hate. 😆)
As for rainy days…well… don’t feel like you have to like them. Sunny days are great too. (And I can like rainy days enough for both of us. 😉)
