Behind the Blogger Tag

Hey guys,

Figured it’s about time to catch up with some of the tags that have been sitting in my private blog posts for months. Today we’re doing the Behind the Blogger Tag, which Alabama Rose tagged me for. Thank you so much, Alabama. I’m looking forward to doing this one.

The Questions…

1. Why did you start blogging, and why have you kept blogging?

This is a good question. I started my blog for various reasons. Partly so family and friends can keep up with my art if they wanted to, partly so that I could have an online portfolio, partly as an outlet for ideas and tips, and partly because I’ve always wanted to have a blog, so I asked my sister and she helped me set one up. 🙂

I’ve basically kept blogging for those same reasons, but also because I love connecting with other people through blogging.

2. What is your favorite type of blog post to write?

Probably tip posts. Or maybe art dumps, just because they’re fun and easy.

3. What are your top three favourite blog posts?

Well, I’m going to assume you’re talking about blog posts that I have written:

4. What are some of your favorite things to do to relax?

I tend to be a pretty relaxed person as it is, but I enjoy listening to music, or playing music, or taking a nap is always very relaxing (though my five-year-old self would roll over in her… um, bed at that statement).

5. What are three of your favorite things?

My favorite things? Yahweh’s Word, Letters from friends, and my CD collection. WHEN THE DOG BITES, WHEN THE BEE STINGS, WHEN I’M FEELING SAAAAAD….

6. What are your proudest blogging moments?

Probably when I got my first follower, haha. (It was my sister, but still. 😁)

7. What are your hobbies outside of blogging?

Drawing, painting, dancing, messing around on various instruments, writing, reading, and every once in a blue moon knitting or cross-stitching.

8. Describe your personality in three words

Hopeful procrastinator… Yo!

9. What are your top three pet peeves?

Hmm, well, I’m not a very easily annoyed person, but here are a few things that do annoy me:

  1. Poorly written self-published books (these equally annoy and make me sad, because a lot of them could been have really good)
  2. Love interests in Hallmark movies.
  3. When dwarves barge into your house, eat your food on your table, and then go on to insult you to your face. SO. ANNOYING. (Though, you have to admit, Bilbo handled that situation well.)

10. What’s something your followers don’t know about you?

Hmm, this is hard because some family members are following this blog, and there’s not much my family doesn’t know about me.

It took me a while to think of this, but I think I got something:

Whenever I try a new shampoo, I always get the unfounded and unheeded fear that there will be some ingredient in it that will make my hair fall out. It’s really weird, I know.

    (Except that I would edit the second one to just straight up say “Hallmark movies” yeah 😆 )

      4. You’re too sweet, Chalice! 😍 (very true, very true. Perseverance and determination is something that I’ve been learning a lot about recently…and how extremely vital they are when it comes to art. ❤️)

    2. Haha, I guess I could have just said Hallmark movies in general. 😂 But the insta-loves and all that mushiness particularly annoy me. 😝

        My brother got me some watercolors for Christmas and I’ve been trying to understand them. *sighs*
        It’s hard work. Anyways, I’ve been looking through pictures for inspiration and project ideas.

  4. Ahhhh thank you so much for the tag! I’ve never done this before but it looks super fun! Wait…. the shampoo thing is actually kinda scary. I’ve never thought about that. But what if it DID make all my hair fall out!?!?! ack I’ll just stick to the same shampoo xD I second (or third ;)) art dumps! Hallmark movies are soooo predictable. But they’re clean, and they have holiday cheer so I will continue to watch them around Christmas xD

      Haha, I wouldn’t be too worried about the shampoo thing. I’ve used lots of different kinds of shampoo in my life, and none of them have caused my hair to fall out….. yet. 😉
      Yeah, I don’t hate Hallmark movies, but I do find most of them rather annoying. 😛 (There are a few rare good ones. 🙂 )

      2. Oh, that’s neat! 😃 I love singing too, though I can’t say I’m very good at it. I love playing different kinds of music, but especially the Piano Guys’ music, George Winston, soundtrack, and different Christian songs (for King and Country, Tenth Ave. North, etc.) What about you?
